Frequently Asked Questions about 2D/3D/HD Live

1. How early are you able to tell the gender of my baby?

In most scenarios, we can provide an indication of gender at 14 weeks. We can’t guarantee the baby will cooperate during your session. The fetal position, body tissue content and developmental stage are some of the factors that affect the ability to determine gender. We will try everything to try and move baby to the perfect position for gender reveal but if for some reason the baby isn’t cooperating, we can reschedule for another day at a different time of day.

2. Can I bring my family with me to my Ultrasound session?

Yes! Please bring your family to be a part of this special time! Covid has really put a damper on family the past couple of years. Here at R.O.W. 4D, we want your family to be able to share this experience with you. The viewing room will comfortably fit 6 extra people.

3. Is it safe for me and my baby? Are there any Risks?

There have been many extensive studies on this subject. None of these studies have found any signs of risk to mother or baby. With ultrasound, there is no radiation like you’d get with other imaging modalities. If you have any doubts or concerns, talk to your medical provider.

4. Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Here at R.O.W 4D, we prefer every expectant family to have an allotted time. Give us a call, we may be able to fit you in for a same day appointment!

5. Is this Ultrasound session covered by insurance?

4D ultrasounds are purely elective and are not covered by insurance. 4D ultrasounds are not intended to be a replacement for prenatal care. R.O.W. 4D ultrasounds are an out-of-pocket expense. We accept cash, and all major credit cards.

6. What can I do to improve the images of my ultrasound session?

Drink water! you should be drinking at plenty of water beginning at least 7 days before your scheduled appointment. Water can improve the quality of an ultrasound. Think about it like this; “Clear” amniotic fluid = Clear pictures! Full figured moms should schedule their 3D/4D/HD live ultrasounds between 31 and 35 weeks of pregnancy in order to get the best possible pictures for your keepsakes!
